The Lavazza Training Team

It's always interesting to know who's going to be training you, so we've put up some very short profiles of our training team. Between them, they have a great blend of passion, enthusiasm and training experience. Our training team aren't just classroom based either, they travel extensively in their states, training, listening and advising.

Introducing the team:
Valli   Valli Dalla-Riva
Training Manager - Victoria

Valli's experience in some of the busiest cafes in Melbourne formed the foundation of her passion for coffee. Now a certified trainer using her skills and experience to train others, Valli's knowledge comes through on all her training courses, blending the international expertise from Lavazza with local market requirements. Valli also looks after Tasmania and manages training activities in South Australia.

Danielle   Danielle Carlton-Smith
Training Manager - Queensland

With an associate diploma in Hospitality Management, extensive experience in the hospitality industry and a passion for teaching people, Danielle Carlton-Smith had the perfect background and experience to become Lavazza's Training Manager for Queensland. Danielle has, in her job at Lavazza, found the perfect way to share her expertise in hospitality and training with her love of coffee, what she like to call her "part-time perfection." Danielle strongly believes that training should be fun and interactive and that the only way to learn is to "have a go!"

Cheryl   Cheryl Bosworth
Training Manager - NSW

Cheryl’s natural passion for coffee and her extensive experience as a barista in Sydney gives Cheryl an enthusiastic approach to instil confidence on all aspects of espresso making techniques to others. Cheryl’s systematic approach to making perfect espresso is based on techniques developed in busy cafes and this makes her training realistic, hands on and enjoyable. With a wide diversity of cafes, restaurants and corporate customers, Cheryl sums up her approach to training as “The more you understand about coffee, the more you feel comfortable making it”
